What To Do First

Step 1

Download the Eagle Project Workbook

This is what you will be using to record your project progress.

Click here for download instructions (BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY).

The form is designed to allow you to type your information into the blanks.

Read through the booklet, it has important information that will help you to know how to do your Eagle Project.  if you have any questions about the information in the booklet, go on to Step 2 and find an Eagle Coach who will be able to assist you.

IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE DOWNLOADING AFTER FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE, PLEASE BE SURE TO CONTACT US THROUGH THE HELP LINK ON THIS WEBSITE.  Don’t forget to leave your name and contact information so we can get ahold of you.

Step 2

Locate an Eagle Project Coach

Click Here to find out if there is an Eagle Coach for your Troop. Your leaders have been asked to provide an Eagle Coach from each Troop/Ward to assist scouts and parents through the Eagle Process.

Eagle Coaches are required to attend 3 District Eagle Coach trainings and must be officially registered with the BSA.

Having an Eagle Coach is optional but highly recommended by BSA. Using this website along with an Eagle Coach to help you will help you in many ways.

  • Before beginning your project
    • Review your initial project proposal before you submit it to the District Eagle Committee for approval on the website.
    • Assist you with making any required changes to your project, prior to meeting with the Eagle Approval Board.
    • Accompany you if requested to the Eagle Project Approval Board to receive approval.
  • Throughout your project – give advice, guidance, and council to help you ensure your project meets BSA requirements.
  • After your project is completed – Review your final project paperwork and Eagle Packet in preparation for final submission to the District.

If there are no trained Eagle Coaches listed for your troop, your parents or leaders will need to coach you. You can use the website to help you. We have a few Eagle Coach training handouts that may be helpful. If you email us at eagle@springvillescouts.org we will email them to you or your parents.

IMPORTANT: It is important that you never meet with an Eagle Coach alone.
